GSLC Helps Build a Habitat Home
This spring you have the opportunity along with other Lutheran churches to help build a Habitat home in the Smithfield Estates area (near Fultondale). How can you help?

First -- pray for this project and our church involvement

Second -- Sign up to work as often and as long as you like. The start date is March 8th and construction runs about 8 weeks. We need volunteers not only for construction, but also lunch preperation. 

Third -- Donate financially to the cause. Each of the Lutheran congregations need to raise around $1000.00.

Philippines Mission Trip
On Sunday February 10th, Mr. Barry Voss presented details for a Mission Trip opportunity to the Philippines.  Barry is the executive director for Faith Life Ministries out of Georgia.  The trip will take place from November 10th to 20th of 2008.  If you would like to attend please contact Pastor Dave by March 20th, 2008.  For more information check out their webpage: www.faiithlifeministries.net

Holy Week Schedule

Seder Meal -- Our Annual Seder Meal will take place on March 20th, at 6:00 pm. Come join us that evening as we celebrate a live renactment of the final night of Christ's life. Please reserve your table by Wednesday March 12th.  For more information please contact Debbie Gohn.

Good Friday Service -- For this year's Good Friday service on March 21st we will be presenting a special service entitled "Stations of the Cross." Each station takes us from the Garden of Gethsemane to trail, to the crucifixion and burial of Jesus. Join us for this special service.

Easter Egg Hunt -- Our annual Easter Egg Hunt will be on Saturday, March 22nd at 10:00 am. We are looking for donations of CANDY (that won't melt) to put in these egss so pick up a bag or two of your favorite candy to donate. Collection baskest will placed in the narthex.

Easter Services and Breakfast Potluck --
come join us for our annual Easter Potluck Breakfast beginning at 9:15 am. Bring one or two of your favortie dishes and join us as we enjoy a wonderful mroning of fellwoship and joyous worship. Our services will be at 8:00 and 10:45 am.
